All Girl Challenge - Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn PART 3C

Continuing the All Girl Challenge for the game: Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn.

Chapter 10

The Laguz Alliance and the army of Begnion are going to battlle in the Crimean territory. Elincia, not liking the situation, and neutral in the war, goes in between the two armies to deliver a message.

Elincia... she lowered her weapon just like that.

These soldiers started to leave the battlefield, but Senator Valtome insists that they kill off Elincia because of her act. He orders the remaining Begnion troops to attack.

For those who don't know what Ike means, they are the ones who protected Elincia back in the prequel.
Chapter is pretty easy regardless of how well you trained the units from the Royal Army, who will be joining the battle as "Other" units. For best results, send some help to Elincia as well.

Although I have a small army, it's a small army of superior units. The Royal Army also has three superior units, namely Marcia, Calill, and Astrid. The AI is also clever in setting up a defensive wall around Elincia.

Chapter is easy as long as Elincia stays alive. I also noted that there are some items which can be stolen by Heather, including staffs and weapons (especially bishops).

Chapter 11

Sanaki finally meets up with Ike, and orders him to lead the Apostle's Army. The Apostle plans to storm Begnion and reveal the evil plans of the senate.

Ragnell is the sword Ike uses against the final boss, in the prequel.
The Apostle's Army is on the way to Begnion, but someone blocks their way. Now they have to fight their way through it.

Ah, the very annoying bridge battle, just like in the prequel. Holes stop a unit and instantly ends that unit's turn. Since holes are considered as lower level terrain, the enemies can attack with increased hit rate. Thinking of flying units as the solution? Sorry, but there are crossbow users and some ballista users as well.

There's more holes than you can possible imagine!
My only tip for this mission is to have a tanky unit ready in case a character falls into the hole. This way the disabled character will be blocked and guarded from further attacks by the enemy. Also, beware of the boulder launchers. These can be deadly against low defense units, although these launchers cannot really bring a unit's HP to zero.

Chapter 11

We go back to the group of Micaiah. Why does Pelleas keep on commanding the soldiers of Daien help the senate, where in fact, they were their enemies?

In my opinion, Pelleas is an idiot. Did he just sign a document stating the freedom of Daien, without reading it? Even though it was Izuka who told him to sign it, he should've at least read what's written. Now they have to obey what the senate tells them to do.

The senate wants the apostle dead so badly.

Ah, here we are again with going through a chapter with a very small army.

As usual, a defensive formation is important. With the help of the allied units, making a defensive wall is easier. I don't think I had any difficulties finishing this chapter.

The apostle and guardians would attempt to escape the ambush, but...
Okay, I think this is overkill for the apostle. The surrounding archers are enough already.

Tibarn stopping the attack just in time.

Sorry Ike, they can't tell you anything... yet.
This concludes Part 3C. I decided to separate the last two chapters because I will be including character performance details, which would make the post even longer.

All Girl Challenge - Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn PART 3B

This is second part of All Girl Challenge for Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn Part 3. This is the part where the title becomes literal. Intersecting Vows: It's more like "Where the Vows Actually Intersect.

Chapter 6

As the Greil Mercenaries and the Laguz Alliance slowly retreat from Begnion territory, Daein's Army now attacks the laguz, as requested by Begnion. Why would Daein suddenly aid Begnion, despite their abusive occupation of the kingdom?

(Pardon for some of the bad pictures. I should've known better than to take pictures in the dark.)

Pelleas, why?

This chapter is one of the real challenges of the game. Remember the very under leveled units back from Part 1? They're going to fight laguz. The laguz give good EXP when they are in beast form, but their stats are doubled in that form, which is deadly for fragile units, namely Micaiah and Laura. Since my goal is to get as much EXP as possible in preparation for the blood contract chapter, and the mission ends after defeating a number of laguz; I have to defeat every single laguz in beast form.

Attacking with such a small army, but they are well trained even at low level, and I have the strategy.

Black Knight arrives after a few turns, but I only used him as tank by removing his weapon to avoid him attacking.

Formation on the left and right choke points.
The tank units for this chapter are Meg and Black Knight for the left side, then Jill, Fiona, and Sothe forming a line at the right. The Other units are set to halt after going moving towards the enemy a bit, making them a temporary wall. Lastly, Micaiah and Laura go on separate ways to heal the wall units.

There are some interesting conversations in this chapter. Can I just name Part 3 - Intersecting Feels? So much feels for this part, especially for those who played the previous game.

Lethe finds Sothe in the midst of the confusion, yet they still fight.

Jill's encounter with Mordecai and Lethe, her laguz friends.

Chapter 7

The second part of the encounter, and this time, it's the Greil Mercenaries in control. Ike helps the lagus pass through the forces of Daein.

First things first. Do not ever think of bringing horse riders. They won't be able to cross the river.

This is one of the important chapters in order to fulfill the secret endings. Ike must battle Black Knight and trigger the conversation. Ike, battling the full stat BK? Sounds impossible, but it is one of the requirements.

I used the Bonus EXP to raise Ike's level to 20 and hopefully, get enough speed stat to avoid getting doubled by Black Knight. Too bad I lacked 1 speed point. I repeated the chapter a lot of times, trying every tactic. In the end, I used the Spectre Card, which makes BK unable to counter.

I have to use Haar in this chapter, so I can recruit Jill into my team, to help rescue Ike after attacking BK. I also used Reyson for this reason.

(Now I know you would probably say that I'm not supposed to used males, but I tell you this. It's very difficult without Reyson and Haar for Jill. Janaff and Ulki are exempted because they join in this chapter.)

That aside, this chapter also has a lot of feels. Conversations between old friends fighting are present.

Yep, things are getting waayyyy crazy in here.

One of Zihark's conversations. He also has one with Ilyana, by the way.

I did not see this conversation on my first playthrough. Maybe I let her close enough to Micaiah to initiate conversation.

Thanks to the hawks, Ike will be able to fly towards Black Knight without much trouble. With the help of Reyson's Heron form Vigor Galdr, Ike is able to approach BK, throw a Spectre Card, and get rescued by the flying Canto users.

Ike battles the Black Knight
Soren also gets a chance to battle. He engages Micaiah this time. I'm not sure if this is a requirement for Soren's secret conversation, but I'm just making sure. I also marked the range of BK so I could take precaution.

Micaiah, you're one Adept skill from defeat.

Soren the genius. One look and he knows about Micaiah already.
Soren could be easily beaten by BK when the turn ends, but thanks to the mission objecctive, I can opt to defeat "Boss", which is Micaiah. Someone who is slow and fragile is the boss. I can end the mission easily without risking anyone anymore.

Poor Micaiah. Maybe the strategy of the Greil Mercenaries is too much for her.

Chapter 8

The Laguz Alliance and the Greil Mercenaries escape through Kauku Caves. The caves are known to be dangerous. Thinking the enemies won't follow them inside, they take the risk.

Too bad. The senators wanted the soldiers to follow the esccapees, against their will.

Very simple chapter, just be wary of the floors which can damage you at the start of each turn.

They run through the wrong exit and arrive at Goldoa, the dragon kingdom.
Dragon king so heartless.
Chapter 9

The Senate asks for aid from Crimea, but Queen Elincia insists that Crimea is neutral against the war. The impatient senator then orders the burning of houses in a village. Elincia orders the Royal Knights to stop the problem.

Okay, this is one annoying mission. Use only four units to rout the enemy, and put out the fires of the burning houses before these burn to the ground. One is fragile, and one can only use bows, meaning she can't be used for counterattacking melee units. The Other units are also morons. It's fun, right?

Actually, only three are the important units, namely Marcia, Callil, and Astrid. Geoffrey is the fourth one, because of being a forced-deployed unit.

Thanks to Marcia being well trained in the events of Part 2, I can let her go solo to easily reach further burning houses. Callil can follow her upwards since she can climb ledges. Geoffrey meanwhile blocks the enemy so Astrid can fire with her bow, while equipped with the Adept skill.

One disturbing fact about using the royal knights: NO healers. Everyone has to waste a turn just to use a healing item.

I managed to save all the houses. Saving them is important since you get bonus EXP for them.

Part 3 is very long, with the addition of the large number of pictures. I used Photoshop so I could join some of the pictures in one file, since blogger is not like MS Word.

I have to split Part 3 once again. Stay tuned for PART 3C, and a possible 3D.

All Girl Challenge - Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn PART 3A

(I've been really busy with school, that I have no time to use our Wii. Hopefully, I could finish the whole challenge soon)

It's Part 3 of my All Girl Challenge. This time we start with a fresh army, the Greil Mercenaries. The units used for the challenge are Ike, Mist, Titania and Mia. At the same time, I'm planning to complete Soren's secret conversation, so I'm also using him from time to time.

Prologue [sadly, I forgot to take a screenshot]

The prologue chapter is very simple, just have Skrimir reach the enemy's seize spot. Of course, we would want to make our units stronger for the next chapters. Since Titania is already a high level unit, I would focus on making Ike, Mist and Mia stronger. Ike and Mia would do the fighting, with help from Soren, and Mist heals, while using Florete while given chances)

Chapter 1

The Greil Mercenaries infiltrate the enemy base by making the guards fall asleep.

Under the challenge, this chapter is a difficult one, when I focus on the allowed characters. Even with the addition of Lethe and Lyre, them moving on their own does not help. Even my increased base stats for Mia and Ike from the transferred PoR file did not help. I had to repeat the chapter once. Since using only the ladies is hopeless, I had to use everyone. Since this is a pre-deployed map, I can use them as I want. Of course, I would still have the ladies land the final blows whenever possible.

Too many tough enemies like Halberdiers and Generals

Chapter 2

Some more attacks by the Laguz Alliance with the Greil Mercenaries

This is the chapter where the game is getting started to tip to my favor. Some more units join the team. Nephenee and Heather are formidable units from the previous part, while Ilyana is on her low level 2nd-tier class, but her thunder magic is good against the wyverns, making her useful for this chapter.

Since I'm not confident with my team's durability, I had my team approach the enemy slowly, with Ike and Nephenee in the front lines because of their higher defense. I'm just careful not to step into the boss' danger zone. If that happens, the boss would attack, making me force to defeat him quick, and losing all the exp from the remaining enemies. If I would ignore the boss attacking, there's a high chance of losing a unit because of his high attack.

More units for my army!

Chapter 3

The Greil Mercenaries sneak through the main army of the enemy, infiltrating the enemy camp.

This mission is a race against time. With limited turns, and tough enemies, in addition to not using Haar, the only flying unit, full force is needed. Heather also comes in handy here, since she can steal the items held by the fleeing senators, and she has the amazing Pass skill.

Heather's buzzer beater supply burning

I almost failed the mission a second time. Yes, I played through this mission twice, because I screwed up in burning the supplies. Thanks to Heather, and the Pass skill, she just passed through the enemy blockades and proceeded to burning the last supply crates on the last turn.

Chapter 4

Skrimir receives a one-on-one challenge from General Zelguis. Ike and Ranulf rush to stop Skrimir from doing any more reckless moves.

This is a mission which involves a lot of climbing. The enemy also has long ranged defensive weapons. The good thing is, you have laguz reinforcements, which the enemy would probably be wasting their ballista ammo on. The only challenge is climbing up the cliff without getting owned on the enemy phase.

Poor Titania, the only one who cannoot climb.

Chapter 5

General Zelguis defeats Skrimir on a duel, and gives the Laguz Alliance three days to retreat. The Laguz started their retreat. The Greil Mercenaries, now free agents, decided to stay in an abandoned castle for the meantime. However, the enemy has other plans.

How nice it is to defend a castle using a very small army. It's very tough! I just wished Lethe and Lyre did not leave sooner. They would be a great help in defending the castle.

Moving on. We've known "Frederick Emblem" from Awakening when playing on Lunatic and Lunatic+. For this mission, I call for "Titania Emblem". With her high level and good defenses, I can make her defend the main entrance on her own. I was able to promote her to Gold Knight in this mission, making her defend even better.

Having Mist as the only healer is also not helping. I just made the other units carry their own healing items.

The castle has a lot of climbing points, so the best trick to pull off is to block them using units with ranged weapons. The enemy would attempt to attack them, only to miss because of elevation lowering hit % and then get countered.

Of course, I can't charged and finish off the boss, because of my units being busy blocking the entrances. So I just waited out until I reach the turn objective.

Some more secrets revealed.

This concludes Part 3A. Part 3 is very long so I decided to split them into two parts. Part 3B is where things start to get pretty serious.

The Harem Files - My Lady of Choice in Fire Emblem: Awakening

For the game Fire Emblem: Awakening, marriage before the epilogue is now possible, unlike the previous games where marriage occurs in the ending. Marriage would also result in having children, or should I say, recruiting children from the future.

In the previous posts I have talked about every lady in the game, which the avatar can marry, and Morgan can have as a mother. In this post I will reveal who my lady of choice is from the game.

Many players have the surprise factor of marriage upon playing the game the first time. Not knowing about the marriage system, they get accidentally married to a lady. Unfortunately, I did not experience that surprise. Why? I started the game as a female character, not knowing there is a marriage system, and I regretted it big time.

Would I have started as a male Robin, I would have accidentally married Sumia or Cordelia, because pegasus knights are my favorite class in the previous games. Since I started as a female Robin, and thinking the protagonists are the most important in the team, I paired up Chrom and Robin everytime, resulting in marriage early in the game.

Finally, my lady of choice is:

Nowi the Manakete

I'm really fond of Manaketes, because they can turn into dragons. I'm really fond of characters with special abilities, and Manaketes do fill the spot. You might suggest Panne the Taguel for special abilities, but I do not find Panne attractive in any way; no offense to Panne lovers.

My choices are Nowi, Tiki, and Nah, so why did I choose Nowi?

I chose Nowi from the three Manaketes because for me, she is the most adorable. She may have a childish personality, but that is what made me like her the most, and that's what makes her cute. Isn't she the cutest?

Nah might also be my choice, but marrying a child character is really awkward. Imagine, your expected wife will be born in a few years, and wait for a lot of years before you can finally marry. Worse, what if the future self likes you, but not the one in the present? I think you get the point.

My Fire Emblem: Awakening family consists of Nowi as the wife, with Nah and Morgan as the daughters. Seeing the Manakete sisters in action made me enjoy the game more.

I think I forgot to mention, when Robin marries Nowi, Manakete blood will be passed down to Morgan, making her a Manakete as well.

I told my lady of choice for this game. Now tell me, who is your lady of choice in Fire Emblem: Awakening?

The Harem Files - The Ladies of Fire Emblem Awakening Part 3

We're back with The Harem Files, and now we are in the final part for the game, Fire Emblem Awakening. I really have to apologize for the very long delay.

On this part, we will cover the child characters. These children came from the fallen future, to warn the people of the present on the fell dragon Grima's revival. Of course, Morgan is not included here because you can't marry your own child, and she could be from an alternate future.

For some players, they would prefer to marry one of these ladies. Why, you ask? The stat modifiers that Morgan can inherit from child characters will be way better than the parent characters, because of the accumulated modifiers. For the sake of harem, I would focus more on their personalities than their stats and inheritance.

The first of the future daughters is Lucina. She is the daughter of Chrom, and whoever he marries. She travels back from the future to prevent what happened in her time

Lucina is determined to change the dark future. Her strong will, and her driven personality are her best traits. Despite these, she could rather be childish, especially when with her sister (assuming she marries anyone but the maiden).

If you want her, you simply need to support her in her goals to change the future, and tell her that she is important to you. Cheering her up would also help, and the best gift to give her would be flowers, since there are no flowers in the future where she came from. You better get started if you are desperate to have her.

Up next is Kjelle. Her name sounds weird. Seriously, I do not know how to pronounce her name right.

Moving on, she is the future daughter of Sully, and her husband-to-be. She loves her armor, as seen in her starting class which is knight. Like her mother, Kjelle also has a tomboyish personality, which is could a turn-off for other players.

To have her, first you must earn her respect, by defeating her in a duel. She treats anyone who is weaker than her as a waste of time, so you must defeat her first before you can actually approach her. Eventually she will warm towards you.

Next is Cynthia, the future daughter of Sumia and her husband-to-be. Like her mother, Cynthia is a pegasus knight.

Cynthia is someone who loves to play hero. For every battle, she would have an entrance, victory cheer, and etc. Seems childish, but that is where she gets her strength.

Unfortunately, of all the traits that she can inherit from her mother, Cynthia inherits Sumia's clumsiness, and also trips a lot.

To have her as your wife, you should make her feel your importance in the army as a tactician, as she tends to screw up while charging relentlessly. Eventually, she will feel that she needs you more than the army. Then you can take it from there.

Severa is the future daughter of Cordelia and her husband-to-be. Because Cordelia is very famous for being perfect, Severa always gets compared to her. This results in her low self-esteem.

She would tend to talk to others in a harsh tone, making it seem that she is a fierce girl. She may seem the cold one, but deep inside, there is a soft side within her.

Courting her ought to be tough, but it's really simple. Her harsh way of talking and her arguments are your ticket to courtship. You just need to be nice to her, and compliment her attitude, even though she has her harsh talks. Eventually, she will warm to you. She might even be the one to confess to you.

Noire is the future daughter of Tharja and her husband-to-be. Because of her being the guinea pig for every spell that Tharja creates, she became a lady who has a timid personality. Because of this, she was given an amulet which brings out her fierce personality.

Courting her is easy. You only need to help her be the girly type. Tell her what you know about girls, and give her a lot of tips. She worries a lot, so you also need to give encouragement. Eventually, tell her that a woman becomes radiant when she's in love. Now sit back and wait for her confession. I should warn you though. She has the mood swings, from the effects of the amulet. But don't worry a lot, her mood swings only covers her timid nature, and her more violent nature. Still worried? I hope not.

Last, but not the least, we have another Manakete. Choosing a Manakete, but Nowi and Tiki not fancying you? The future daughter of Nowi and her husband-to-be is the answer. She is a human-Manakete hybrid though. Want to know her name? Nah.

Unlike her mother, who tends to be childish, Nah is more mature, maybe too mature for her age. In some cases, her attitude would tend to be childish, as she is just a child.

If you really want this lady with Manakete blood, her courting method is the simplest of all. Just cook for her, since back in her time food is scarce, and she needs to eat a lot. Eventually, tell her that the food you cook is filled with love for her.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Writing a little profile for all the ladies is a bit of hard work, especially for those with personalities I'm not really familiar with.

Stay tuned, because the next blog post would be about my choice from all of these ladies in the game.

The Harem Files - The Ladies of Fire Emblem Awakening Part 2

We're back with The Harem Files. This time, we're going to continue on the females of Fire Emblem: Awakening. Still haven't picked your choice? The previous part covered the ladies who are going to have their future child. Now we are going to cover those without their own future children, aside from Morgan.

Part 2: The Ladies Without Future Children (because I can't think of a better title)

These ladies are mainly supporting characters, and they will not have children, except for Morgan. These ladies mostly come from sidequests, and may or may not play a huge role in the storyline.

Under this category, the first one is Anna. She is the recurring character that appears in almost every game in the series. In the past games, she appears as the secret seller, and in the in-game menus, as the player's guide.

She returns, this time as a playable character. If all those past games you fell in love with her, then this is your chance to actually marry this rich lady. I should warn you though. Her family reunions are going to be disastrous, since all family members look exactly alike.

"I would love a manakete, but Nowi looks too young!" Say no more! I got another manakete of choice for you, and she doesn't look too young. But remember, just like Nowi, she is actually older than she looks.

She is one popular lady, for she is the voice of the divine dragon. Expect her to be a well-respected lady, and maybe crowds of people.

If you want a daughter with blood of divine dragon,  she is the one for you. Just remember that she may think of you as Marth from time to time.

Want an "Asian" lady? How about Say'ri? From her support conversations, you can tell that she actually is talking about a Japanese kingdom (or so I think).

She speaks in old-fashioned speech, and has old fashioned manners, so you may think of her as a little weird.

Did I forget to mention that she is a princess? She is the princess of Chon'sin. You know what that means? Marry her, and there are possibilities of being a successor to the throne.

Would you like a lady who is brave, heroic and strong minded? Flavia would be the one. She is a hero to women, and she does not yield to men. Although she is fierce, she would still treat anyone equally, ally or not. She is one reliable lady.

Still not convinced about her being fierce? She likes doing push ups a lot. She has a good sense of attention to her surroundings. She is a Khan and the ruler of Regna Ferox.

How would you get her, you ask? First, be her tactician. It starts from there.

Isn't that... Emmeryn? How is that possible? Emmeryn actually survives, but with a huge side effect. She loses her memory, and now having a difficulty in speaking. Sad, isn't it?

How it feels when you want her? Imagine your special someone having amnesia, and you are devoting your time to be with her, in hopes of returning her memories. That is what you should do to her when you want to marry her.

Aversa? Am I serious about her? Yes. Many would choose her because of her special ability Shadowgift.

Hard to think that you would be allies with your former enemy. What do you need to do? Once she joins your ranks, just try approaching her. Since she would be distant to the others, you can be the one to comfort her. Though she hates it at first, she would like it in the long run.

Suggestion for a first date? I would strongly suggest taking her for a long swim.

This concludes Part 2. I must admit this is the hardest part to make, because I rarely use these characters. It's also hard to find more on their personality when they only have a few support conversations. How can I endorse someone I don't even know much about?

Stay tuned for Part 3: The Future Children!
