This is a new series of posts for my gaming blog, and this now involves games where your own character can end up marrying one of the female characters in the game. My posts would contain every potential bride in the game, and information about each of them. At the end, I would write who I ended up with, including my reasons for the choice.
Now, on with the blog. SPOILERS WARNING!
Fire Emblem Awakening is the first game in the series where you have your own character, and you can marry any one of the characters of the opposite gender. This is one game where I regretted starting off with a female character, because of the marriage system. I paired up my unit with Chrom, because they are the main characters, then was surprised when they got married at the S-rank conversation.
Had I started with a male character, the marriage would be a surprise, just like how my fellow players experienced the game, ending up with unusual characters pairings, mostly not their final choice.
The game itself has a huge number of potential waifus, numbering at 23, so expect a lengthy post. But of course, you can only end up with only one of them. To make them organized, I shall divide the ladies into three groups. Each group will then be sorted in order of appearance, excluding the child characters, as they can be recruited in random order except for Lucina.
Part 1: The Mothers
These characters not only are potential mothers for Morgan, your avatar's child, but they also have their own child, regardless of who they marry. Whether you like them or not, you should use them to recruit the child characters, and maximize the potential of the team.
First lady to introduce is Lissa. She is the princess of Ylisse, and Chrom's sister. She is your team's first healer, and can grow into an offensive unit in the long run.
Want a cute healer as your bride? Lissa is the one for you. Just be careful, she loves to trick you with her pranks.
Would you rather have someone who is a tomboy as your wife? Sully is your girl. She could be more manlier than you. She would prove herself as the manlier one to males who underestimate her because she is a girl.
In the real life, there's a girl that I like. She is a bit tomboy, but not to the point where she would now be similar to Sully.
For nerds, Miriel here is the best choice for you. That is, if you can keep up with her language. Her terms are so deep that even I cannot understand anymore what she is saying, even though I'm taking up a bachelor of science type of degree.

You might say that you are a bookworm, but not as nerdy as Miriel. Sumia is here for you. Her favorite tale is actually another Fire Emblem game, which is Genealogy of the Holy War. The name of the game is just not directly implied in the NA version.
By the way, she is a klutz. She trips a lot. People think she trips by accident, but I know more. She can trip herself intentionally without even hurting herself.
Do you think she is the girl for you? Catch her when she trips. She would then have someone to fall for when she trips. (Pun intended)
Who wants a woman of nobility? Maribelle is your girl! All I can say is, good luck trying to have her. She warms slowly to anyone of common folk, maybe because of her higher ranks in society.
The good thing about her? Once she gets to know you better, she will be kinder and more emotional to you. That's where a deeper relationship would start. You want her? Better start now. She would show you how things are done, the noble way.
"I want someone who has a special asset". Say no more. Panne the Taguel could be the one you are looking for. In Tellius terms, she is a laguz, or sub-human. She is part human, part animal. She can transform into a bunny. What better creature there is to cuddle but a bunny. She can talk to animals too, in case you need a mediator between you and your pets.
She does not like humans much, but nothing's impossible.
Want someone who is perfect? Cordelia is the one for you. Well, as they say, nobody's perfect, but people would tell that Cordelia is. She is a genius and can do stuff flawlessly, that's why she is referred as such.
She has an unrequited love for Chrom. If you can convince her that Chrom can't be for her, she may fall for you instead. Just remember NOT to call her a genius. She hates it when people call her that.
Do you want her? You better get cracking.
Looking for other choices for people with special assets because Panne is not your type? How about a laguz who can transform into a dragon? The girl who can do that is Nowi the Manakete. She may look young, but she is actually older than she looks.
Are you fond of cute and young looking ladies? She could be the one for you. Just take note that she does not act her age. She acts so childish, which is contrary to her age, but I'm pretty sure she will bring joy to your life.
Want someone with a nice body? Tharja is for you. Many fans would pick her because of her body. As someone from the team would say during Harvest Scramble, she is so "boingy".
If you really want her, I should warn you. Looks can really be deceiving. Underneath that nice body is a woman of obsession. She has a very deep obsession with the avatar, or should I say, you. If you are comfortable with someone stalking you, and casting hexes and curses to get you, go on ahead. No one's going to stop you.
Getting tired easily? How about Olivia? She is a dancer, and dancers are known for replenishing the energy of people they dance for. Have her dance for you, or maybe you can even dance with her. Playing a song while she dances would also be nice.
She is a dancer, and yet she is a very shy type of person. Ironic, right? Gonna be a little tough to get her into your life.
Lastly, for the mothers, we have Cherche. She is a loyal servant. That explains why she is so great when it comes to house works like cooking and sewing,
She would make a very good housewife, because of her skills from being a servant. You just have to be careful not to make her angry, or she would threaten you by implying that her wyvern mount Minerva would eat you. Not only that, I should tell you that she also is very strong.
